Twelve-year-old Brendan Paquette-McKinnon’s feeding tube was broken, and the emergency room at the hospital in Prince George did not have the part to replace it.
“There I was at two o’clock in the morning, phoning every parent I knew to see if they had the part,” said his mother, Krystel McKinnon. “I finally found a woman who did, and as I put [the feeding tube] in, the doctors just sat around watching. That would never happen in Vancouver.” Read more…
